Technology can be useful as well as a dread

This weekend I went out and bought a 1gig microSD chip for my phone. It was about time my “MP3-phone” had a collection of mp3s on it. So I took it home and started to play around with loading music on, as well as putting videos on it.

I went through a few websites and forum threads to figure out how to convert my videos into a format my phone could read, as well as play smoothly. I finally found it, and loaded up a bunch of Gyuri videos. Yay!

Being the Gyuri-nut that I am, I now have a Gyuri wallpaper, Gyuri videos, and I had SeeYa’s Promise U as my ringtone… until I found out I could do video ringtones. Well that opened up a whole new door. I dug through all my video clips, and found a clip of Gyuri singing CLS for almost 30 seconds. No pan shots of anyone but Gyuri. Yes! I ripped that out, and slapped it on my phone. So now everytime anyone calls me, I see Gyuri. w00t!

Technology roolz… Until… you find out stuff that embarasses you. For example, today, while browsing my mp3 sites, I found a clip of some Vietnamese dudes singing Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together”.

I’m embarrassed to even admit that I know how to speak Vietnamese now. Lots of Vietnamese singers go out and steal songs. It makes them seem so unoriginal. I’ve heard so many Korean/Chinese/Japanese/English songs stolen. And I guess since I’ve heard the original version already, I find the covers of these songs to be pretty bland. So yeah… Blah!

But on the bright side, I finally got access to the SeeYa Cafe on Daum. I want to give props to everyone that helped me get access. Finally, 140 pages of SeeYa pix for me to go through. Heh heh. Are you jealous yet Majestic? :D

Do you find that if you’re listening to a song, and someone calls in, your ears get blown out of the water?
