And nope, not about politics!
My wife is about to go on vacation to China for two weeks. Unfortunately I won’t be able to go with her because I already used up my vacation time this year, but that’s not the rant.
One of Yan Yan’s friends (a young Taiwanese girl), is going through some tough times, and especially hates her current living condition. She hates her landlord, blah blah, and Yan Yan has even tried helping her find a new apartment. Unfortunately this girl sometimes says the stupidest things. She actually asked Yan Yan if she could stay at our apartment for the two weeks while Yan Yan was in China — Knowing full well that I was not going along with her.
WHAT THE SMEG?
I know she’s going through hard times, and she was probably thinking maybe she could sleep in the living room, or have some sort of living arangements, but come on! That was a highly inappropriate thing to ask, even if the intentions were not man-stealing. She should really have thought things out. Yan Yan was quite pissed, but she’s sort of used to her friend saying stupid things (don’t blame her, she’s Taiwanese, I keep hearing).
It’s not just my wife’s friend that says stupid (or is it just selfish?) things like this. My ex-gf (whom is also Taiwanese haha), has had her equal share of “what the smeg” moments, in terms of relationship-inappropriate comments.
I don’t know what to say… haha.
